Congratulations! Theresa Urban and Tabea Pfuhl honored at the DGMP Annual Meeting in Nürnberg

At its 2018 annual meeting in Nürnberg, the German Society for Medical Physics (DGMP) again honored two young medical physicists for their outstanding achievements in the field of dosimetry and medical physics.

The DGMP Master's Thesis Award 2018 endowed by PTW went to Theresa Urban for her work "Dosimetric Characterization of Microbeams for Preclinical Experiments in Radiotherapy at the Munich Compact Light Source".

The PTW Poster Prize was awarded to Tabea Pfuhl for her excellent poster contribution on Dose build up effects in proton Bragg curves ("Dosisaufbaueffekte in Protonen Bragg-Kurven").

Congratulations to Theresa Urban and Tabea Pfuhl - we wish them all the best for their future careers!

The prizes endowed by PTW have been awarded annually by the DGMP since 2016 and are officially presented during the DGMP annual meeting. They are respectively endowed with 1,000 and 500 euros. The objective of both awards is to distinguish outstanding achievements in the field of medical radiation physics and promote scientific commitment.
